Essential Oils are integral to an Aromatherapy treatment. Oils are produced in different parts of the plant or tree from bark and twigs to leaves, flowers and even fruits. The oil is then extracted from the plant material using different methods according to the plant in question. It is important as therapists to know which part of the plant the oil is from, as each oil has its own unique properties and uses. Essential oils need to be stored and handled correctly. They also need to be bought from a reputable supplier, ideally one whose stock can be traced back to where it was grown.

At Revive Aromatherapy we only use top quality organic oils from
“ Materia Aromatica,” a highly reputable supplier based in the UK. All oils are stocked from the best suppliers available and the quality is carefully monitored. The origins of the plant material and source of the oils is not only known but carefully researched and substantiated. In using top quality oils you can be safe in the knowledge that you will be receiving the best treatment possible, with little risk of contaminated or artificially produced oils with little therapeutic value being used. It may cost a little more but we believe it’s worth it.

All base oils used during massage are also bought from Materia Aromatica, they too are organic and of the highest quality. We select base oils according to need and if you have a nut or seed allergy you can rest assured that this will be taken into account when selecting a carrier oil for your massage.

We also use a range of other aromatic extracts, base products and herbal oils and ensure that all our products are organic and of the highest standard possible.
